We're so excited about being able to offer this! It's a truly unique and awesome book of 101 crossword puzzles. The clues are in hieroglyphs at the bottom of each page, and you answer with the english word corresponding to the hieroglyph clue. All of the approximately 300 hieroglyphic words used in the puzzles are listed, along with their english translations, in a separate 24-page solutions words list that you can download below (this very minute!) for free. Of course, you'll probably want a couple of puzzles to try out as well (for free, naturally!), and you can download the puzzles sample below too.

Note that this is sold as a PDF (electronic file) only. It's been formatted to print onto standard US letter-size paper, so you should be able to print it without too much trouble on your home printer. The puzzles document is 204 pages.

It should go without saying that you may NOT print more than one copy of the puzzles. In recognitioon of the on-going economic difficulties around the world, we have simplified our packaging to the maximum extent possible and are offering our unique and awesome flashcards for a new low price while supplies last. This version of our cards is exactly the same as in the past, but between tightening our belts and eliminating the expensive color package inserts, we've been able to reduce the price of our flashcards super-set (950 flashcards)! It's just the cards in an acetate box--nothing fancy here!

The set includes 400 cards for learning the most frequently encountered Middle Egyptian characters, and 550 cards for learning foundation Middle Egyptian vocabulary. Each set comes in a box just about 4x8x2 inches (about 10x20x5 cm). All prices include postage.

The prices shown here do NOT include any taxes or fees in your own country. For example, in the UK, there is apparently a VAT and a Royal Mail fee that you will have to pay when your order is delivered. At the time we're writing this, an 8 GBP fee is apparently charged on items valued over 18 GBP. You might therefore want to check the exchange rate between pounds and dollars before ordering.

Hieroglyphs.net Flashcards

 

This is a super-set of 950 flashcards including 400 of the most frequently used Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs, and 550 vocabulary cards!

• Each card is approximately 2x4 inches (about 5x10 cm).
• The first 400 cards of this set consists of the most frequently encountered Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs. They include 29 uniliterals, 134 biliterals, 71 triliterals, and 166 determinatives.
• Each of these glyph cards is printed with a hieroglyph on one side and, on the other, a description of the hieroglyph, the Gardiner character code, and phonetic and/or determinative values associated with this hieroglyph.
• The remaining 550 cards of this set include 326 nouns, 11 prepositions, 10 adjectives, 24 rulers' names, 10 particles, 25 numerals, 26 pronouns, 97 verbs, 10 phrases, 7 adverbs, and 4 other items.
• Each of these vocabulary cards has a word or phrase in hieroglyphs on one side and, on the back, typically includes a transliteration, grammatical classification (noun, verb (2ae-lit.), and so forth), translation/meaning, and a pronounciation.
