Hello.

This package includes, I think, all of the code as well as come supporting materials for Hierowriter, a web-based hieroglyph rendering program.

As it is written, it requires:

  Perl 5
  GD (an older version that supports GIF format)
  mySQL

This distribution is in two parts:

  Hierowriter (includes everything except the images) [about 1MB]
  images (nothing but the images and associated data files) [about 9MB]
  
Since I have no idea if anyone is ever even going to read this, and since I'm releasing the source code under the GNU General Public License because I don't really have the time to maintain it, I haven't cleaned up the code at all. What you see is what you get. I think all the parts are there, but this was a relatively complex project that integrated a number of programs on the Hieroglyphs.net web site.

If you find that something is missing, please let me know and I'll see if I can find it for you. Also, if you do make use of it, please let me know as I'd love to know how folks make use of it.
